Flash Hider Removal & Muzzle Brake Install & Timed

Customer brought in a stuck on flash hider (Rocksett is great, but hard to remove) and wanted a Muzzle Brake installed and Timed. We were able to remove the stuck flash hider and get the muzzle brake installed and timed in just a few hours. Thanks R.C. for the business!

Recoil Pad Custom Fit Installation

Customer drove in all the way from Lostine, OR to bring in a pair of their Browning Superlight Shotguns (Yes, that's 2 Browning Superlights) that needed recoil pads installed. One of their shotguns previously had a Kick EEZ pad installed, but just didn't fit quite right and they wanted a new one re-installed and custom trimmed and fit for their gun. The other shotgun they brought in had the original manufactured plastic recoil pad and needed a new pad custom trimmed and fit. Below you will see what the original pad looked like in the group of photos to the left (on desktop version - or first set of photos on mobile) before Brandt Custom Works did any work to that particular shotgun. On the right (or bottom set of photos on mobile), you will see both shotguns custom fit with new Kick EEZ pads, custom fit, oiled and ready for hunting season and clay pigeon destruction! This was a very fun project and we thank you J.P. from Lostine, OR for driving all the way over the mountain for your business.

Broken 1873 Taylor & Co SA 45LC Revolver

Customer came in with a broken 1873 Taylor and Co SA 45LC revolver needing repaired. Replaced the cylinder hand and trigger bolt spring and customer is all set! Thanks for the business SD.

Winchester Model 69A

Customer came in with their Winchester Model 69A that was auto firing when bolt closed, safety on or not. We took it apart, cleaned it up and found that it had a worn firing pin, trigger, firing pin spring, safety lock, and safety lever. Swapped out the old parts and put the new ones in and she's ready for some fun! Thanks for the business M.M.

Winchester Model 1300 20ga & Vanguard 243

Customer came in with their Winchester Model 1300 20ga & Vanguard 243 that had been sitting in storage for year and needed cleaned up. We took apart their 20ga shotgun, ultrasonic cleaned and hand cleaned the entire gun - oiled it up and tested for function / looked for any worn or damaged parts. Test fire was great and all parts were in spec!

Got into their 243 and found rust throughout the entire gun. Customer opted to go with a new coat of Cerakote in Armor Black. We took apart the rifle, and inspected it thoroughly. We gave it a good chemical bath, ultrasonic clean and proceeded to sandblast, mask and paint the rifle. We got it put back together and oiled up and gave it a new life! Test fire was great and all parts were in spec!

We were so excited to get this project back to the customer so we forgot to take pics of the progress on the shotgun and the final photo of the rifle. Whoops!

Thanks for the Business K.D.

Remington Model 1903 Restoration

Customer came in with their Remington Model 1903 dating back to August of 1942! We got it in the shop in pretty rough condition. It had rust throughout the rifle and needed new life brought back into it to be fire functional. It was missing a bunch of parts to make this rifle complete, so we scoured the web and sourced period correct parts where we could. The only non period correct items on this gun is its remanufactured new Minelli walnut stock, and the screw parts kit included in the photos. Everything else on this gun is period correct. (The customer and I, chose aftermarket screws part kit and stock due to the price of individual screws and availability of parts).

We started by tearing the entire gun down into each individual component. We then ultrasonic cleaned each part to remove surface rust and oil. After that, we sandblasted each part and prepped all metal for the Parkerizing process. Each piece of sandblasted metal was then dipped into our Parkerizing tank to take on its period correct black color. Once the Parkerizing process was complete, we dried the metal off in our industrial oven, and proceeded to dip all metal parts into a 24 hour oil bath. After the oil bath, we wiped down all the excess oils from the metal and proceeded to re-assemble the firearm. Once it was all put back together, we took it out and test fired it. Video below.

This was an amazingly fun project and we are so thrilled that we were able to provide our services to restore this rifle back to life. It was an honor!

Thanks for the Business K.H.

Remington Model 81, 300 SAV

Customer came in with their Remington Model 81 in 300 SAV. They requested to have it fully cleaned and to sandblast it and put a Parkerized finish on it to bring it back to life. We broke the gun down to its individual parts, ultrasonic and hand cleaned the rifle. We then sandblasted it, and dunked it into our parkerizing tank and gave it a new durable coat that should last it another 80 years. Rifle was fully oiled and inspected for safety functionality and test fired for proper function.

Remington 700, 280 REM

Customer came in with their Remington Model 700 in 280 REM. They requested to have it fully taken down to be cleaned and and oiled for this upcoming rifle season. We broke the gun down to its individual parts, ultrasonic and hand cleaned the rifle. Rifle was fully oiled and inspected for safety and checked for proper function. We removed as much rust as we could without stripping the coating on the gun, and cleaned up the inside of the stock. With the existing wear on this rifle/stock, the cleaning really brought back it's luster.

Thanks for the Business N.C. and good luck this season with your tag!
